Project Spotlight: Sedgwick County Zoo Leopard Exhibit

We are thrilled to share that we are nearing completion on the new Amur Leopard Exhibit at the Sedgwick County Zoo! The exhibit consists of new observation, animal care and outdoor exhibit facilities. Located in the middle of the zoo, animals and visitors will enjoy four public outdoor exhibit areas featuring overhead animal transfer bridges between the individual containment yards. The central observation area also spotlights an overhead catwalk where the leopards climb ramps and can hang out above Zoo patrons. Two private containment yards adjacent to the care facility allow world class care of resident leopards and allows the Zoo to hold new cubs for extended periods prior to transfer to other facilities, a feature not that common in current zoos. We were honored to partner with our friends at GLMV Architecture for this project and are looking forward to the exhibit’s grand opening this fall!
