Greg Sacks joined Conco because he wanted to be part of a successful company with an established history in growth mode with the right culture. Five minutes with him and you hear a recurring theme: Conco has a family and friends culture that inspires Conconians to love where they work and build relationships with clients. Conco, he says, is an approachable company. “I have 12 years’ experience in public accounting, on the tax and audit side. I’ve worked with and for companies of every size and have seen and been around many cultures. Without a doubt, Conco is in the top three.
“I trust my colleagues and tell my team I believe in 100-percent transparency. You can’t be transparent 100 percent of the time if you don’t have a family and friends-type culture, if you aren’t approachable, if you don’t trust.”
With a strong work pedigree, degree in accounting from KU and MBA from Baker University, Sacks isn’t soft on performance. He says Conco holds people accountable for the higher pursuit of always doing what is best for the company and its clients. “Values like that inside a culture like ours allow us to recruit, attract and develop best-in-class talent.”
