This week Conco hosted the Health Care Certificate ASHE Training in our training room. Many Conconians as well as vendors, subcontractors, architects and clients attended the training which focused on the challenges of hospital construction. Our plan is to continue to use our facility as a central hub for construction education! Thanks to all who participated!

Via Christi Philanthropy

Bill Ramsey

Towards the end of 2017 Conco provided significant support to Via Christi Philanthropy for the Behavioral Health projects at St. Joseph. We recognize the importance of mental health services in our community and want to do our part to ensure these services are available to those in need. The team at Via Christi sent us some photos of them touring the work at St. Joseph and we wanted to share them. Conco is currently constructing the Psychiatric Observation Unit at St. Joseph with completion scheduled for early April!

2017 AGC Awards

Bill Ramsey

Conco was honored to receive three Associated General Contractor awards for projects completed in 2017! Each contractor is only allowed to submit three projects for consideration which means that all of Conco’s submitted projects won awards! The new Foley Headquarters, Fidelity South Seneca and MB Foundation Headquarters were all awarded an AGC Award of Honor! Congratulations and thanks to all the team members that worked on these projects! Conco was one of the few contractors to win multiple awards and the only one to win three! The awards are hanging in the training room so stop by and take a look!

Bizwomen Mentoring Monday

Bill Ramsey

This past Monday our own Katie Buresh participated in the Wichita Business Journal’s Bizwomen Mentoring event. This special event pairs women business leaders with women in their community in a one-on-one coaching atmosphere. In a casual, fast-paced environment the women had the opportunity to share insight from their own career experiences and provide insight on topics such as beginning your career, unexpected changes that occur along the way, working successfully with different personality types and creating and managing a work-life balance. Katie was also able to share about some of the programs we offer here at Conco like our Cool to be Blue program as well as our help sponsoring the trade academy at Bishop Carroll High School. An empowering piece of advice Katie shared with the ladies was that “you can lead at any level. If leadership comes down to influence, then always making sure you have a positive attitude will ensure you have a positive influence on others.” We are so proud of Katie for serving as a mentor to the women of our community!
